[Whoa, okay. That's a little surprising.

Leaving what he's doing now, and heading over to open the door. He looks concerned, of course, the moment he sees you.]

What's wrong?

[ Pouting at him, but this one he probably hasn't seen before: a genuine angry pout. She moves past him and makes her way into his room without a word. She turns around once she reached the center, looking at him rather angrily. ]

[Well, that rather clearly establishes that HE'S the problem now. Shutting the door.]

Uh. Would you like to sit down?

[Should he be worried now?]

[ She's trying to formulate a sentence, but her frustration gets to her. She wants to say no she does not want to sit down, and she also wants to tell him to stop being such an idiot. Her thoughts are racing in her head and....

...and she was going to lift up her tablet to show him what she just read, but her emotions kick in and well, she slaps him on the arm instead. With her tablet. ]

[Okay. That? He did not expect.

It doesn't really hurt, but he rubs his arm anyway.]

Bri...

[Should he... what do in a situation like this?]

[ It comes out as a croak first, before she's yelling at him. ]

Why? WHY?! [ She waves the dossier in front of him as her eyes are starting to well up. ]

[Ah. I guess that means Tala did what he had asked her to.

No more hesitation, then. He's walking over and wrapping her up in his arms - or will attempt to, anyway. He'll wait for her to calm down, or alternatively, take whatever else she wants to dish out.]

[ She buries her face in her hands and slumps down to the floor. She gave in, and Brianna is crying

Yeah, it's been a while since she cried this bad. She's covering her face because she doesn't want Hikaru to see her ugly crying face. She's a bit embarrassed, but mostly shocked and frustrated. ]

[He doesn't say anything then, and settles for sinking right down with her and offering the girl what he can just by his presence.

This might take a while.]

[ Face still in hands, her shoulders are quivering.

Yeaaahhhh it might take a while for her to compose herself again. ]

[He withdraws just enough to look her over, and then he's reaching out to grasp one of those hands.]

Brianna, look at me.

[It's soft, and obvious that he wouldn't actually mind if she didn't just yet. 'Eventually' was enough for him.]

[ She's sobbing. ;^;

She tries to yell: No! and she weakly hits him again with her tablet. ]

[He'll take that. Watching her in pain, though, does unsettle him even if he understands that she needs a bit more time.

Sitting back then, and resting his arms on his knees. He keeps his hands close, though, just in case she needs to take them.]

[ Brianna is just staring at the floor, letting the tears drop. She wipes her face occasionally with her handkerchief. After avoiding his gaze for a minute, she relents and looks up to face Hikaru but she doesn't say anything. ]

[That first, before anything else.]

I felt that you had to... no. You deserved to know what you've signed up for.

[therealbrianna]

Yeah. Well. I know now.

[ She's struggling for words. One of the rare moments that happens.

After a quick pause, she tells him what she really feels. Or at least, what she doesn't feel. ]

I'm not angry. Not at you, at least.

Ah.

[Standing up now, and offering his hand.]

Let's sit on the couch. I can make you something.

[therealbrianna]

[ She's sniffling as she takes his hand, wordlessly moving to the couch. ]

[And he's hovering close as he sits her down, brushes the hair from her face, and pulls back with a concerned tilt of his head and a smile.]

Want anything in particular?

[ Pouting up at him, and in an effort to lighten the mood (cos she can't be sad forever :c) : ]

Not like you'll get allow me to have anything alcoholic, right?

[He laughs a bit at that, because it WILL help them both if he humored her.]

I think I can make an exception this time around.

[ Hurr, okay, but she's still pouty-facing you, Hikaru. ]

Okay if that's the case, maybe some rum coke if you have some.

[ A quick pause. ]

I'm still sad, okay. [ It's really more of a statement than a question. ]

Then I hope that mixing a good drink for you will at least be able to take the edge off.

[Sending you an apologetic look as he's disappearing, for a moment, into the kitchen.]

[ Taking that as a cue for her to rest her head on the armrest of the couch while waiting for Hikaru to finish whipping up something for the both of them.

Brianna's current mood: Sad Puppy. :c ]
