[ He won't respond after that, although it's mostly because he's got a lot of ground that he wants to cover in the office. He doesn't come home for dinner, though, but you knew about that already: he told you about his plans earlier that day. ]

[ Yes, he remembers. Doesn't stop him from running to the store to pick up more chocolate ( they had Meiji on stock, he bought a huge box ) which he leaves in a fridge. You'll see the tiny note he's pinned there, a small: I put one with my name on it, the rest is yours though :)

He's home about twenty-minutes after shift. He was delayed largely because he had to help shove a few kids into cabs before he got his own. ]

[ First thing you'll notice: no Naoki in his basket.

Next thing: everything you need for your usual cup of coffee has been neatly laid out. There is also a bar of chocolate from that box you bought with a note.

Your fiance is curled up in bed with the kitten. Whether he's just dozing or actually sleeping, you'll have to check. ]

[ Usually he takes one cup of coffee in the evenings just to wind down. One, before his last shower, before he curls up beside the comfort of you.

He'll forego it tonight though, pick up the bar of chocolate and that note and smile before wandering into the bedroom. Screw the couch. He wants his fiance. You know he can never sleep right without you. ]
