[ Once she's over her bout of pleased blushing, Ariadne heads over. Her messenger bag is with her, more out of habit than anything else. She's not planning on doing any sake-filled sketching, but one never knows.
[ And since he knows that it's you, Ariadne (spoilers: he kinda knows how you sound when you move, and the way you smell in a totally not-so-creepy fashion): ]
Come in! Door's not locked.
[ ...In which you will be greeted by a curious, green-eyed kitten who IS rather large, and has even larger feet and ears than he ought to. Hikaru's over at the kitchen, making maki. ]
Hi.
[ No Josh in sight: his boy's at the Elysium already. ]
For the better scale, and because it's easier for me to do detective stuff on it. Most of the sketch was done using metal filaments, though, since that's easy for me to work with given what I want with the project.
[ He's pausing there though, and looking up as as he remembers something. ]
I don't think I ever told you, did I? I can control metal and blood, among other things.
[ He looks thoughtful now as he goes back to preparing food for them. ]
I made a Bargain with a creature known as a Bloodsinger back in the day. It needed someone to be an extension of its will to feed itself, and I needed something that could give me the means to protect people that I cared about. Bloodsingers unlock the full potential of the human brain and body, and also have specific control over blood and metal.

(And it's so nice to hear about Josh being a good daddy.)
And just yourself. One question, though: sushi, maki, sashimi, or all of the above?

all of the above sounds good

[ Aaand sending an address over, to a lovely penthouse thing in an old brick building. It's close to the forest, right at the edge of town. ]
See you soon, love.

Knock knock, Hikaru. ]

Opening the door, Ariadne shuts it behind her but then immediately crouches down to greet Naoki, letting the cat sniff at her and then stroking him. ]
Hi there, buddy.
[ That's for the kitten. And- ]
Hey. Need a hand?

[ There's a stool that you can take right across of him while he's busy. Yes, that kitten is going to follow you everywhere while you're here. ]
Hope you didn't have a hard time finding this place.

[ c: kitten. Do you like being picked up, Naoki? Because she's going to scoop you up and onto her lap for more attention. ]
And when I don't have a lot to do work-wise, I wander the city and draw, so I'm getting to know it pretty well.

Maybe I should get you to take a look at a project I've started, then. I've drawn the entirety of the city on a wall down here, as best as I could.
no subject
Why on a wall?

Blood specifically, or is it because of the metal in it?

[ Okay, first platter is done. Nudging that over to her, along with a nice pair of chopsticks, wasabi, soy sauce.
He be thorough. ]

[ She should probably be less curious about parasites while eating, but. Oh well. ]
Also, you should know I'm not fantastic with chopsticks, so please try not to laugh at me too hard.

[ Then, with a smile: ]
Is that another thing I should teach you?

[ She laughs. ]
Well, it can't hurt. Probably.

[ He's picking up his own pair of chopsticks now, and sliding one set towards Ariadne. ]

[ She's honestly not sure what to ask -- she doesn't even know what she doesn't know. Instead, Ariadne picks up the chopsticks. ]
