When you finally come around, he'll be sitting on one of the benches talking with one of the other students. Just school stuff. Like you know, a normal college student. ]

[Smiling at that companion of yours in his usual charming fashion the moment he comes around. You probably spotted the car a bit earlier: he pulled up right at the curb, in front of Dela Costa itself. Faculty privileges, and all.]

[Topping that greeting with a kiss to your cheek as he slips in beside you, effortlessly casual.]

[ Yeah, he did. But you looked like you were going to park so... yeah.

And his classmate is smiling your way, offering a nod of deference before she scoots off to catch up with the other people nearby.

Cute. He's going to thread his fingers through yours now. ] So, where are we having dinner?

I don't know yet, actually.

[Bringing out his cigarettes. Might as well have a stick in your company.]

[ Letting go of your hand for a moment, while he lights up as well. ]

Well, it'll have to be somewhere quiet if we're going to talk.

[ He did promise you last night, that you would. ]

[Ah, yes. There is that.

Lighting up himself before he speaks again.]

Well, we've got the pick of the city. Do you want to be close to home, or are you good with anything?

[ He says that with certainty. You could pick a rooftop and sit down with him with pizza and a litre of soda and he could be good. ]

Then would you mind if we headed up to Kibo? The house is completely free right now, and we can order in whatever we want.

[It also has a wing just for himself in there, which might just give them the privacy that they need.]

[ He's going to send a smile your way and lean in. ]

[ And because he can't resist, and because one of his first memories of you at Kibo did involve you and a car. ] Just... I have a special request?

That I drive at a perfectly acceptable pace for your heart rate?

[Might as well try to preempt you, because you're not the only one who's recalling your last drive together from anywhere to Kibo or vice-versa. Of course, he's remembering the experience with pride and a bit of fondness.]

[ Sending you a quick grin before he goes back to his cigarette, eyes turned towards the way the campus is blanketed with night, broken only by light from the lamps set in certain areas.

He'll go through this stick and be ready to go when you are. ]

[Once you're both done, he's standing up and canting his head towards the car.]

This place is pretty nice at night.

[Saying that as you're heading over.]

[ He's falling into step with you at that. ]

It is.

[ And when you get to the car, right before you head to the driver's side, he's catching your hand to draw your attention his way so that he can maybe slide a kiss over your lips.

Sue him. It's dark, no one's around, and class is done. That, and watching you go through that stick reminded him that he hasn't kissed you in a while.

The goodbye kiss last night totally doesn't count. ]

[Brief as that gesture is, he does shut his eyes in respond in kind, complete with a pleased noise and a gleaming glance in your direction before he's ducking into the car.

This is nice. 'Nice' can be such a quaint word, but. Well.]

This is a welcome change of pace.

[Saying that as he starts the car up. The two of you have not had nearly enough alone time since you sorted your shit out.]

[ And he's joining you in that car, sliding into the passenger seat and subsequently buckling up before he hooks up his phone to your stereo system. ]

Uh-hm. [ Smiling your way now, as he plays something you both like. ]

[Which you're going to get an appreciative smile for, young man. And look: see? This speed isn't so bad.
