Waking the Dead 2.0 || August 19, 2063 || Friday

[This one disappears for about thirty minutes, and returns as quietly as he left with two briefcases. He doesn't explain where he went, but from how he ducks into Hikaru's room for about fifteen minutes after that, it can probably be inferred that he fetched a few things from Falner.
Looks like he'll be staying at the Tower while he has taken control of his Brother's body. You're usually going to spot him hovering around, smoking, working through a glass of rum, eyes crimson-ringed and glowing oddly in all lights (or lack thereof) watching... who knows what he's watching? And that suit he's wearing - three-piece, black, pin-striped, with ghostly faces and smoke occasionally moving over the "fabric" - is pretty nice, creepiness aside.
Please excuse him if you find him suddenly popping in on you. It's just what he does.]
OOC Notes:
+ Drop starters as you please! I'll have Death haunt you accordingly. ♥
+ Feel free to do other stuff among yourselves here as well.
+ Do note that Makoto's out and solid for this evening too, so you can bug him or ping me if you want him to come around and bother you.

[He is often unaware, in fact, of when he is actually feeling something.]

[ Like when he gets sudden feels from watching something, maybe? Thinky face, looking at you. ]
Can you tell me how you feel at the moment?
no subject
[Thinking on that for a moment.]
Intrigued. Pensive.
[...He's not sure about the rest just yet.]

[ He tosses a smile your way, easy and casual. He's totally okay with you asking him anything, and he'll try to answer as best he can. ]

[Tilts head.]
Nevertheless, many of my queries appear to have bothered some of your kind in the past.

[Yes, that is a new word to him. Please to be teaching Death, Karlo Antonio Zobel de Ayala.]

[ Shrug, smile, smoke. ]
It takes a lot to make me squick-y.

[Hum. You learn something new every day.]
Why "squick"?

[Where has he heard that before.
Enlighten him, plz.]

[...Huh.]
No, it does not. Why does it carry on, then?
no subject
Um... I don't think people say it anymore. It's the first time I've said it since pop-history 102 and St. Quincy's. Fifty years and even street-slang's evolved I guess.

[You appear to know much about this thing. That makes sense to Death: you are rather young in comparison to your blade mates, both in mannerisms and in thinking.]

I think that the slang from the 2010s lives on. I hear a lot of adults saying 'Medj' or 'Deins' the same way we use it so...

I am starting to get the impression that Keepers of the Vigil tend to be creatures who fixate on the past.

[ He lifts his lighter to you. ]
This is a classic Zippo from the late two-thousands. It was treated the same way as newer lighters are now. Again, preference.

Is it not, as well, grounded for many on practicality? We have, after all, spoken about tradition. Conventions. I simply find it interesting how the majority of the Keepers have such common preferences for "old things", as Brother Wolf likes to put it.

[ Unless it's traveling. There isn't anything more convenient than a 'port. ]

[Nodding, looking satisfied.]
Thank you for explaining these matters to me.

[ He really doesn't mind you two talking. ]
