Waking the Dead 2.0 || August 19, 2063 || Friday

[This one disappears for about thirty minutes, and returns as quietly as he left with two briefcases. He doesn't explain where he went, but from how he ducks into Hikaru's room for about fifteen minutes after that, it can probably be inferred that he fetched a few things from Falner.
Looks like he'll be staying at the Tower while he has taken control of his Brother's body. You're usually going to spot him hovering around, smoking, working through a glass of rum, eyes crimson-ringed and glowing oddly in all lights (or lack thereof) watching... who knows what he's watching? And that suit he's wearing - three-piece, black, pin-striped, with ghostly faces and smoke occasionally moving over the "fabric" - is pretty nice, creepiness aside.
Please excuse him if you find him suddenly popping in on you. It's just what he does.]
OOC Notes:
+ Drop starters as you please! I'll have Death haunt you accordingly. ♥
+ Feel free to do other stuff among yourselves here as well.
+ Do note that Makoto's out and solid for this evening too, so you can bug him or ping me if you want him to come around and bother you.

[At least, that's how he thinks he can best explain it. It's a little disconcerting how Death's thinky face is a lot like Hikaru's, but then... Same body. Then again, different personalities.]

[This is an interesting discussion for Him. He has always been under the impression that human beings follow incredibly rigid patterns, and those tend to be their downfall. That's on a macro scale, though. He is seeing that more and more these days.]

[He pauses to put out the cig he'd burned put and light up another, because this was something he really went and took note of.]
The 2010's had an upsurgence of support in that direction, even as Nyx threatened to destroy the world. Afterwards, people's views changed, and so did the way they treat people like me and like Brother Wolf.
To condense that to a nuclear family, a married couple's habits will change upon the arrival of children, the death of a loved one, and the like.
Life is always a work in progress. People make mistakes, and sometimes they learn from it. Other times, they do not. Take me, for example.

So you are an example of learning from your mistakes, or of not learning until it is too late?
[Blunt abstract concept is blunt.]

[ He smiles and takes a swig of his root beer, Roxas seems to like it. ]
no subject
[Pausing, looking almost... thoughtful?]
Brother Wolf appears to be fond of your type.
no subject
Yeah, a work in progress... That's me, down to a tee. But then, most people are, even as they age.
no subject
[And how it quite literally determines close to everything for them.]
no subject
[ Another shrug, and more sips off his root beer. ]
no subject
And is that a good thing, in your opinion? That all of you are "constantly learning".
no subject
[ Another drag off his cig, blowing a smoke ring idly. ]
To learn what it is you like and don't like is a constant thing.
no subject
I admit that I have had difficulty determining preferences for myself.
[Those weren't really in the picture before.]
no subject
[ He's going to listen to you, and have his gaze wander above your head ever so often. Sipping on his root beer now. ]
no subject
[He is often unaware, in fact, of when he is actually feeling something.]
no subject
[ Like when he gets sudden feels from watching something, maybe? Thinky face, looking at you. ]
Can you tell me how you feel at the moment?
no subject
[Thinking on that for a moment.]
Intrigued. Pensive.
[...He's not sure about the rest just yet.]
no subject
[ He tosses a smile your way, easy and casual. He's totally okay with you asking him anything, and he'll try to answer as best he can. ]
no subject
[Tilts head.]
Nevertheless, many of my queries appear to have bothered some of your kind in the past.

[Yes, that is a new word to him. Please to be teaching Death, Karlo Antonio Zobel de Ayala.]
no subject
[ Shrug, smile, smoke. ]
It takes a lot to make me squick-y.
no subject
[Hum. You learn something new every day.]
Why "squick"?

[Where has he heard that before.
Enlighten him, plz.]
